Strategies for Dementia Caregiving

* Being responsible, logical and rational may not work.
* People with dementia may not need to be grounded in reality.
* You cannot be the perfect caregiver.
* Therapeutic lying may reduce stress.
* Accept help. You cannot do everything.
* Tell, don't ask
* It's normal to question the diagnosis when your loved one has moments of lucidity.
"It is not how old you are, but how you are old."
