Foods that Fight Knee Pain
Vitamin C does more than boost immunity. The antioxidant found in produce like bell peppers, kiwifruit, tomatoes and oranges help protect your knees from arthritis.
Australian scientists found that middle-aged people that consumed high amounts of vitamin C were less likely to have bone degeneration that leads to the development of knee osteoarthritis.

Welcome to the Florida Respite Coalition's new Web site. We hope you find your visit here interesting and informative. Our primary goal in creating this new site is to offer caregivers a place for respite resources as well as providing tips to promote greater physical and emotional well-being.
The new design allows us to maintain the site in-house so many of the articles and caregiver tips will change monthly. So please check back often for new information and postings.
At some point in our lives, most people must deal with loved ones who need care. Whether those in need of care are young or old, family or friends may be caring for them without a break. Caregivers need care too. Without a break, the caregiver's mental and physical health may suffer. Caregivers that have no support system, may not be as effective. We all need to become advocates for respite and encourage legislation that will support caregivers.
It is an exciting time for the Florida Respite Coalition. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year. Our mission is to strengthen the caregiver and family's ability to handle the on-going demands of caregiving. Free information and referral services for respite care are the cornerstones to this mission.
FRC's future goals include expanding our outreach to help and support caregivers even more. We invite you to join us and thank you for visiting our Web site.
Sincerely,
Kathy Cook
President, Florida Respite Coalition
